Default what's in an avatar?

Following the Forum Names thread and carperjim's explanation his Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon album cover avatar...

there are a few interesting/obscure avatars on here - what are they and why did people chose them? (I'm assuming the mugshots are self explanatory!)

For anyone who doesn't know, mine is also off an album cover - Nirvana's Nevermind. Firstly because its one of my favourite albums and a famous piece of album artwork and second because it almost looks like the baby is chasing a "dollar lure" I'll probably change it again though at some when I get bored....

Mine is because I collect Richard Wheatley angling equipment - so mostly fly boxes and the picture is a rare Richard Wheatley Fly Box unfortunately minus it's swing leaf... but have never seen one with a swing leaf!!!!

Good thread Jeff! I'm sure there will be some interesting responses.

I've changed mine recently after watching a load of re-runs on FX channel of my favourite erm 'adult animation' series - King of the Hill. The avatar is of the wondrously uptight, anal, conservative, and in many ways naive star of the show Hank Hill.

A model of what every man should aspire to

Realised that Matt. Along the same lines, can I suggest Peter from Family Guy next time you fancy a change?

An angel shark caught last year off Gran Canaria. Not on a fly though so I should change it. Ugly ****** but the fish didn't seem to mind.

I chose that "much-loved" bird the Cormorant. At the time of joining, we were having Cormorants visiting our reservoir

Mine is a picture of me with my second ever fish on the fly! Caught approximately an hour or so after my first! Was a better picture, hence i used the second one.

Mine is a picture of me with one of my old snakes, a male Boa Constrictor. He wasn't my favourite snake but I like the picture so use it as an avatar on various forums.
