Default Good River fishing closest to Doncaster

I have the good fortune to be marrying a yorkshire girl, hooray! Alas she's from the most boring part of Yorkshire for fly fishing, Doncaster. So, every time I'm forced to the inlaws, I'm pretty bored. Using your combined local knowledge, is there any decent river fishing close to Doncaster, or will I be forced to travel South to Derbyshire or north to the dales and Moors, maybe even Cumbria? All advice on rivers and accessing them keenly anticipated!

40 minutes up the road to Wetherby and Pool in Wharfedale and your into trout and Grayling country, from what I'm told there are trout and Grayling in the Don upstream of Sheffield but I've never fished there so I can't comment, its still a 40 minute run from Donny though .I think I would favour the Wharfe.By the way marry a Yorkshire lass and be prepared to do a lot of listening for the rest of your days.

From a Yorkshire lad married to a Yorkshire lass, here's a tip:

Keep her fed on ale and pies - you'll have no worries

In an hour more or less you could be on the Wye or Derwent.
