also take a look at the bush on left next to bridge ,see which way the bottom branch/branches are facing !!!

Under the far side of the bridge there is a weed/bramble streching out from the bank and down in the river.
From left to right.

Remember that rivers can have currents in two directions. The question should have been, which way is the predominant flow direction?
