Default Braid Connectors !

how much do you guys like to have on your line to connect the braid connector ,and or is there a better way ??

I like to have about 2'' of flyline inside the braid with the flyline hard up against the loop,with no silicone tube. just a small whipping with flytying thread at the join,with a tiny drop of superglue on the whipping the a couple of coats of varnish.
you could also look at John Grays Mono loop if your flyline has a braided core.

I'm with 3lb'er on this method, prevents almost all hinging on your casting.
