Default Happy Christmas

Best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced with the happy traditions of the religious or secular practices of your choice but notwithstanding the religious or secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice any religious or secular tradition at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year of 2009, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions have helped make our country great (this should not be taken to imply that the Great in Great Britain necessarily means that GB is greater than any other country. kingdom, state or federation) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

By accepting this greeting, you are agreeing to these terms:

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable but without any alteration to the original greeting.

It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/him or others and is void where prohibited by law, and revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. The wish is warranted to perform as expected with the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first. Warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher

All the best to all - SAB

Stew,
I am most dissapointed that the warranty is not a lifetime one. Under my recently updated T&Cs and procurement criteria, I am only accepting wishes from service providers who can offer lifetime warranties and I would also wish to insert a break clause should either party wish to terminate the wish agreement due to changes in circumstances at any time (such as you catching more fish than me at the next Cumbria meet).

However, in view of the effort you have gone to, I can make an exception on this occasion and will accept your wishes on a trial "no obligation" basis

(Nice one mate, very good, best wishes to your good self too)

Shouldn't this be in 'Viewpoint'?

Stella, Ideally 'yes' - but some of my Forum friends are far too pure to visit Viewpoint.

I justified my decision in that it was loosely related to general fishing and if not; then I would be forgiven in this season of goodwill.

Yes, and make sure to do lots of shopping or the baby jesus will cry.

In pools among the rushes
That scarce could bathe a star,
We seek for slumbering trout
And whispering in their ears
Give them unquiet dreams;
Leaning softly out
From ferns that drop their tears
Over the young streams.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.
