Heh, yeah, I know – I just couldn't resist a bit of cheap sarcasm! I was being kind of sort of serious-ish though. It's just that when you list a membership card as an actual benefit of membership, it really sounds like you're struggling to come up with a good reason why someone should fork over their thirty-five quid.
And while it's clearly daft to sell something like the WTT on the strength of its fringe benefits, it's possible that zizzing up the copy on the site a bit might make the difference between someone joining right there and then or deciding to hold on until next month (or the month after that etc). I don't think you actually have to
do anything else or offer anything different, just make it a bit clearer that there are more benefits for members than just having done the right thing. If it tips even just one or two people into joining who might not otherwise have done so, it's surely not such a bad way for someone to spend a couple of hours.
