We are very fortunate in Ontario and even Canada to have great writers/fly fishers. These for me include three guys who happen to share the same first name (IAN -- what the hell is there in that name any way?!?!?) and live within casting distance (or at least pretty close to) to the Grand (must be something in the water?!?!?). Ian Martin has written the definitive work on the Grand River (appropriately entitled "Fly Fishing The Grand River") plus recently wrote a series for The Canadian Fly Fisher called the "Seasons of the Grand". Ian is also part of the Grand guides Co-op,
www.grandriverguides.com. Ian Scott, who originally hails from Northern Ireland but was raised in Canada, has a great website/blog called "All About Fly Fishing",
www.about-flyfishing.com. Funny and informative as well. Finally there is Ian Colin James, fly fisher/tyer supreme in eveything from carp to trout. As I've mentioned before Ian Colin James is a transplanted Scot who has been a member of the Canadian National Fly Fishing Team. His "Fumbling With A Flyrod" is a must read (unfortunately now out of print but available occasionally on the Internet). Great website/blog too,
http://www3.sympatico.ca/ianjames/. So if you're not yet familiar with any of these great Ians, then make sure you check them out.

(Hopefully somewhere out on a river!!!!!)
