Default Waders rental

Does anyone know if its possible to rent a pair of waders and boots? I'm due to go river fishing in two weeks and don't really want to commit to buying a set until I know that I'll enjoy it.

Any suggestions welcome (I am in London and will be fishing in Hampshire).

Its not advisable to wear any sort of footwear that anybody else has worn , I remember reading a post somewhere about this where somebody got a fungus infection or something and it took ages to clear up .

Toady ,
Hmm Hampshire ,there is a lot of waters where waders are not needed ,some sadly for you do often need wading !
I know some Scottish tackle shops hire chestwaders ,I am not aware of any down our way !
I would bite the bullet and get a pair ,plenty of deals seem to be going on at the moment !if you get a good pair should last you a fair while !

Have you checked to see if you need them? The vast number of hampshire rivers don't allow wading. Otherwise buy a cheap pair as I've never heard of waders being rented.

Don't know if there is a "Decathlon" outlet local to you, but I've previously bought full chest waders from there (OK, nylon and not breathable; but hey - they were waterproof) for the princely sum of £11. Although they were on offer, the full price was only around £30. If you wear them once, decide you are never going to use them again; stick them on ebay and you will end up spending very little (you might even make a profit!).

Best buy ever , and they arent cheap nasty waterproof cloth , there heavy duty rubber same as wellies and im hoping they last me because there very comfy . . . . all for 14 quid .

Default thanks

thanks for the tips guys. yes - the beat in question requires wading (so I was told when I booked). I'll have a look at decathlon/lidl and also check out the sales...

coasty: funnily enough, i am one of those city finance types. for the time being that is, before i get shown the door!
