Default Flasks

As in vacuum, not hip. Thinking of putting a new one on my list for Santa as my old one is too small and generally poor at keeping drinks warm. I have a Kelly Kettle for those full day outings but I want (a large) one for a couple of hours on my local river. Any suggestions? Always liked the old Aladdin Stanley to look at. Any good?

Apologies if this should be in tackle talk, but it didn't feel right.

I've only had mine since the summer, but it's been flawless so far - reassuringly hefty and, providing you remember to preheat it, stays hot for ages.

Default Stanley Aladdin Flask

I've had one since about 1985, only problem has been the weight. I don't have milk in my coffee but I am sure that someone said you can't put milk in the flask because it reacts with the metal lining, if true you'd have to carry it separately.

The s/steel ones are by far the best! for the snobs among us stanley do one
no better than the rest in keeping things hot or cold but look a bit better and will set you back 3 times as much

Cheap ASDA flask keeps warm all day without preheat (glass type), use one 5 days a week and hey if it breaks only about £3 for new one and you now have a spare cup.

Thats ok, in light of the other thread I found your remark amusing.

It is the issue over whether milk affects the metal/taste of the drink that has my mind occupied.
