Default Total FlyFisher free rod?

Just got Dec edition and they're doing various subscription offers which include a free 9' 5/6wt rod, supposedly with a rrp of £65.99. The photos look ok - black blank, 3 piece, metal reel seat, lined butt and stripper ring, chrome single leg guides, half wells handle with duplon butt end, a Total FlyFisher decal on the blank. Anyone got any idea whose rods they are??

Cheers Jim, interesting. Did you ever get round to using yours? I've already got 3 rods in the 5/6wt category so don't need another, but hey, if its free....

Actually it might not make a bad starter rod for my lad unless its way too fast?

It isn't really free though Jeff. You pay in other ways......like having to read that piece of **** every month

Out of them all this months totalflyfisher was very decent and the rod itself is a decent freebie also.As on another thread where someone mentioned about a good number of members on this forum from Scotland its something maybe the magazines should be taking seriously. This is in no way a promote Scotland post, but having seen some of this months magazines and it reads like an autobiography for some with the usual pictures from the same old places.
The rods look very much like fulling mill rods which I have to say are very good and nice to cast with.
