Help! I bought a new spool for my Okuma airframe 4/6, tried using it today but the drag operates in the opposite direction to my existing 3 spools i.e. no drag.

Is it possible to reverse the drag of a spool or am I doing something daft?

All help appreciated.

Try unscrewing the two screws on the spool, remove cover and reverse the bearing.

Hate to say this, but I don't think you can change from LHW to RHW on those - the drag is enclosed as you've probably noticed. Sounds like they sent you a spare spool for a RHW reel (or the opposite of what your reel is anyway) so you might need to get it changed
