Default tees close season

I was planning on heading out to the tees around darlington but im just wondering has the trout season finished now? i seen a few people fishing yesterday around where i was planning on going. Dont want to be in the wrong though

Yep, it's all over till March for trout on the Tees. If there are grayling on that section, that would probably be what they were targeting. (Are there grayling at Darlo?)

wow that was fast . it was at broken scar, i didnt see them land anything but they were float fishing. i was going to try a bit of fly or spinning

The Tees is a fine coarse fishing river in places and I've have thought it would be more likely that's what they were targeting if they were float fishing down there. I've not fished it, but my understanding is that Broken Scar is one of those places just about where anything can turn up, from chub and dace to grayling and just about everything in between, so if the water's suitable, a fly session might be worth a go just to see what's there. Just make sure you change your fly or shift down a bit if you start catching too many brownies.
