NAPPA is on a distinguished road
Default new member and novice flyfisher

hello to everybody
i've sea fished all my life but i'm fairly new to flyfishing i have been caught very strongly by the trout bug. it started on a family day out at kielder just over a year ago when we were sitting on the bank at lewisburn having lunch and i was watching fish taking insects off the surface and decided then i would get myself a starter kit to try and catch a few.
so i was back up two weeks later and caught my first trout on a daddylong legs from the same spot
since then i've fished about a half dozen or so fisheries in northumberland and durham area and loved every minute even the blank days.
i'm hoping to try for wild browns next season and grayling this winter
if theres any in the north east area just need to find out a bit more first
ps had a good look round this site and looks great loads on here to keep me busy and interested
thanks nappa

Welcome Nappa, hope you enjoy being here, there are some really good anglers on this forum that are only too willing to help newcomers to the sport. If you are into sea fishing have a look here for some good info on salt water fly fishing www.ukswff.co.uk
All the best and good fishing,
Andy.

For your grayling as well as next season's wild trout; check out the Tyne Rivers Trust and their passport scheme:
http://www.tyneriverstrust.org/pages.php?id=22#TAP

Click on the Tyne Angling Passport button on the lower right of the page. This will bring up the details in the left hand panel and you can scroll down for more.
