Did any of you guys watch "The Flesh Eating River Monster" on TV last night. Some of the footage was fantastic and the (allegedly man eating ) giant goonch catfish were truly terrifying looking beasts.

The river Kali seemed to be teeming with these huge angry slabs along with plenty of other chunky looking fish...looks like I have a new 'wish list' fishing destination.

I see through people for a living!!

Interesting programme and awsome fish.

But the 'science' used to reach the conclusion that these fish were indeed attacking people was tenuors at best.

I've seen another programme with Jeremy Wade fishing for goonch - Jungle Hooks?? Scary looking beasts and teeth, especially from a moderately sized river As regards the "tenuous science", if these fish are growing artificially large buy switching to a diet of human remains after the riverside funerals, it sounds pretty plausible to me. What on earth was he doing leaping in to that fast water though - death wish or what?
