Default Daft reservoir technique question.....

Help needed from you experienced sunk-liners out there!

How far up the line generally, do you position your thread whip marker when fishing sinking lines?

Cheers,
m

Yep agree with 3lber , 15ft , and hang for as long as you can depending on drift speed.

Matt ,alternatively you could put a hi-viz fly on yer top dropper position, pull it up towards the boat then stop and hold when you can see it in the water, assuming that you have the light conditions to do so of course...
Watch it like a hawk while in this position and lift as soon as you see it dip or move to the side.

Hello, I have all mine at 30foot 10foot then 5foot. Then from the braided butt six foot to the top dropper including a 1foot butt leader on a 15foot tippet. So if you hang the flys its twenty six feet at the ten foot mark to the point fly 21foot at the middle dropper and sixteen for the top. No need to faf about is there?
