I find i have a whole day to myself on the 11th oct, i was hoping to book day tickets for timsbury to fish but they have a corporate on, anyone know of other test/itchen/meon beats that do graying day tickets ???

The Lower Itchen Fishery offers grayling fly fishing on 3 very nice beats starting on 9 October, and bait fishing on a few other beats starting on 20 October - the beats offering trout and grayling fly fishing, and salmon/coarse fishing, are kept separate.

Again, more expensive than Timsbury, but many of us would argue that LIF offers better fishing. Helps if you don't mind aircraft as the river runs parallel to, and about half a mile from, the runway at Southampton Airport.
