Default Plastic Ratchet Ties?

It is fishing related, I promise!

Can anyone help me?

I want to secure my short net, handle down on my back. It has a metal frame and at the moment, I have secured a keeper ring with a small jubilee clip. Does the job alright but the mesh sometimes snags on the screw of the clip.

I've noticed on a couple of DVDs people doing the same thing but securing it with those plastic tie things that make getting childrens toys out of the packaging nearly impossible.

I've looked all over for a supplier..I can get webbing by the shed load but can't find these.

Any ideas or if some kind soul has a couple of spares, I'd willingly pay postage.

TIA

Not quite sure if that's what they are called, Toby..The Police use the same sort of thing as handcuffs..they sort of ratchet up and then grip. I only want the small ones, tho'.

If you could bring a few, anyway, I'd be grateful. See you there.

If you are talking about cable ties then the likes of Maplins or B&Q sell loads of different sizes?

The likes of B&Q / Homebase also do various types of zelcro strapping that is pretty handy and have thought about rigging up some sort of net retainer on my float tube.

Maplins - cable ties - by the bucketload in lots of different sizes - sometimes they have the reuseable ones.

Lidl were doing handy sized velcro straps as cable organisers - they are just the right size to wrap round a spare spool and stop the line disorganising itself.
