I live in Bedforshire. I've grown up course fishing on smallish rivers so inevitably I feel this would offer me the most enjoyment from a fly fishing PoV. I have Grafham quite close and it's not bad for a day or so but not what I really want.

So my question is this: What suitable venue is closest? I'll be travelling light as I can't carry much on my motorcycle (the wife has the car). C & R all the way, preferrably browns & grayling.

Also I don't want to spend mega bucks cause I'm a tight git.

the upper cam has some trout in it , most water as i understand belongs to clubs, cant tell you more than that, try luton AC, braggers AC and vauxhall AC for a start, they may be able to put you onto the right people
