Default My trip to the Eden Valley

Was a complete washout. Not a single fly was wetted as nearly every river was in the fields and the colour of chocolate.

Hadrians wall and Carlisle castle can't compete. Bah, I'm gutted.

Thanks to all who offered advice . . . I shall be going back.

What a great shame Sunrider, I have just returned from a few hours on the Eden my local water and levels are nearly back to normal a bit coloured but plenty of fish rising. Had a wee Brownie and a Grayling on a Para Adams.
Don't give up ,come again if we ever get a proper summer.

I was pulling my hair out driving home as I went over a few bridges and saw the levels.

I had a new rod/reel/waders and a shed load of flies . . . what a waste.

I know the feeling, 6 days in very wet Wales on holiday expecting to fish at least 3 of those days. rain, rain and more rain, thank God for the WUF "wash off" policy which means I can go back and try again....at least the Good Pub Guide got a good workout!
