Default Beginner - How to dry my flies!

This is a novice question and may seem daft to some...

I was using a few lures and 'fluffy' flies at the weekend which are still wet and looking a bit bestragled still. Any tips on how to dry these lures/flies restoring them to thier original condition? - other than blowing on them until I pass out! ;-)

Cheers.

i pop all the flies i use into a small box when i change over. when i get home i leave the box open in in the kitchen and they air dry. Lures try a squeeze in some kitchen roll then leave to dry - they will fluff up. Don't put any flies back in your box when they are damp they will rot. its amazing howlong some flies will last you

best way i found was to Place them on a piece of foam and use a hair dryer on them till they dry and they end up as good as new and all fluffed up ready for another outing.

Have never worried to much about drying and restoring fluffyness to my lures, as soon as they are submerged in water their action is the same.

Not sure I see the gain with anything that's going to get fished sub-surface, but you could always try some amadou.

What about CDC's after they've achieved the objective? I've never been able to use one satisfactorily after detaching from the mouth of a fish! Or is this a good reason for tying one's own?

On cdc I find that after they get drowned or caught a fish using some toilet roll or kitchen roll, which I always carry some when fishing cdc,s and dab the feather with that then a few blows to fluff them back up again, generally does the trick for me and my cdc,s.

Ive done this for years, when you return, put flies one at a time on forceps,
and hold under the steam of a boiling kettle, then dry out
