Default Host your own fishing show

With all this criticism of Robson Green's efforts why don't forum members start filming their own short fishing diaries and posting them on U Tube. From there we could have a new forum section with links to them?

There are some accomplished contributors on here and the medium would allow for some proper instruction/technical tips rather than the mass populace appeal of mainstream TV programs (usually hosted by some "meed'ja" type).

It would also me an insight into some of the members and their chosen styles and locations.

I would pay good money to see footage from a day's boat fishing; Grouse in his bobby socks sharing a boat with a typically gruff Cothi

Great idea Texxa.
I would love to see a programme about a year on the river where I fish. Follow the river for a full 12 months. The rods, poachers, the good and the bad etc etc. Might buy a camera although my mum always told me I had a face for radio.

Now, now, Tex, that's really quite unfair to Cothi and I think you should apologize.

First, what gives you the idea he's gruff? And secondly, what gives you the idea he actually fishes?

Actually, I think you're on to something here. I'd be totally up for a video special combination of fish-in and love-in. The Grouse + The Cothmeister, a very special one hour event live from the Grouse's drift boat.

Of course herein lies the rub. Within seconds of my posting of the video, one of you b@stards would have edited and reposted a 20 second clip where I'm yelling, "Strip! Strip! Strip freaking now!" at a befuddled-looking, skinny, mustached-clad, errrrm "man of a certain age". It'd look like freaking elder abuse.

Then there would come the clip of me saying, "C'mon, Coth, go downstream and bugg3r that deep hole!" And cut to shot of above-described man runs screaming into the woods. Cut back to Grouse, "Man. The Welsh. Go figure."

So how about it Cothmesiter?

Grouse

I also think a Jpeg or 'Grouse stroking his ginger pussy' might be blocked by most firewalls.

Joking aside, if that boat isn't finished yet its construction would make an interesting video short followed by footage of it in action. In the UK very few anglers would even consider building their own.

Yeah, we might as well add that shot.

Grouse: "Here Coth, hold the big ginger pussy and I'll take your picture."

Cut to shot of Cothi running into woods while screaming. Again.

A contrast to Mr Green's efforts. Frank Sawyer's son on a visit to Sweden if you've not seen it.
