Hi I am off next week and have been promising myself a day at Shimano Felindre Big Fish, I rang earlier today to be told its not opening until 5pm all next week the women I spoke with did say something about fishery manager not about but was gutted so I was not listening to much, is it worth the 3 hour drive with the evenings pulling in, if the weather is good I am looking at the light holding until about 8:30 if I am lucky

They have recently been doing a lot of work there moving banks etc but the weather has been so bad I think it has probably dragged on longer than expected. Personally I don't drive ten minutes there but prefer to drive half an hour to Garnffrwd. Why not book into one of Jamie's log cabins or cottage and have a weekend down there catching full finned hard fighting rainbows browns and Tigers for less than half of what Shimano Felindre charges to catch their pellet pigs.

I wouldn't bother with SBF. Ive not fished it but people i know who have say it's over manicured and artificial looking. yes there are some big fish in there, but you rarely hear of them being caught..!

Hi BrownieBasher I live at Telford Shropshire I just wanted to fish something new while I was off I am going to Eyebrook Saturday, I did think about trying a river, the river Dee is not to far away but to be honest I would prefer to go with someone the first time to show me the does and don’t rather than learn the hard way.
