Default EBAY, bought a reel, arrived this morning broken

Hey guys,
I bought an abu 155 reel of ebay, it arrived this morning and when i turned the handle, the anti reverse button literally popped of it. The rod on which the spool is mounted literally just feel out of the reel and the internals are obviously damaged.

I sent him an email asking for a refund, he replied, "The reel is 100%, i knew you were a fraudster, i am reporting you to ebay TOSSA. "

Now i am getting ****** off, how can i get my money back?

Think you need to log a dispute with this seller, explain what happened in a message, that gets passed to e-bay and he has to respond,I had a problem a while ago with something from e-bay and after beginning the dispute proceedings all did get sorted within a couple of days,I hope you have the same outcome, did you check if he had good feedback etc before you purchased the item?

yes he has good feedback, but he obviously sold a reel knowing nothing about them.

I agree log a dispute and do things by the book . I have done many 100s of transactions. If you have a copy of that message ebay will want to see it so make sure you keep it. If you paid with Paypal you are in a much better position.

Yup - just the same as everyone else has said - dont worry - you will get the cash back eventually - dont let the seller stall you though as there is a time limit on raising a dispute - just do it!

I think they take thE money from the persons paypal account!

I got ripped of by a guy and recieved nothing he did respond to my emails but the abuse i got from by email was always very threatening i just kept them all and sent them to ebay the guy had his account closed.
I did get my money back minus £15 which paypal claim (they get you for everything).

I'm affriad I too have experienced similiar. Very frustrating but as others have said, if you file a dispute with ebay he has to reply. I filed a dispute with paypal and because things were taking so long I called paypal customer services. I had the money back in my paypal account within 15 minutes of the phone call and the dispute was closed. You should be fine, just a waiting game unfortunatley. Be sure to keep all emails from the seller though!
