Not a bad show actually. Great locations with impressive fish.

Cheers,
Stewart.

One man's meat and all that, I actually thought it was awful. Watched one episode and tried very hard to watch a second. Just could not manage it.

Others could well enjoy it, just not for me.

I prefer the good old Hooked On Fishing. The older series are the best when hes fishing Scottish/British rivers for trout and salmon.

...with me Paul Young. And today, we're in lovely...and I'm wearing this old blue tartan shirt again...

The only fishing show my wife will watch with me. She says: 'he just seems like such a nice man.' Meanwhile I'm trying to get her impressed by the fact that he just pulled a huge brown out of a 5 foot Argentinian sink hole. (definitely the best episode).

What an episode that was Mike, I must have watched it a dozen times, Rio Chico I think.
The way those fish came at the fly still makes me jump.
Best ever, even he was surprised.

No I didn't. He ususally fishes with a daiwa something or other...not that I ever play these things in slo mo to see what the host is fishing with...

I've got that episode recorded so I guess I'll have to watch it again to catch a glimpse of the Bloke rod.

The episode where he is tarpon fishing for 70+ pounders is also pretty good. It just looks downright scary. Didn't t. mcguane say something about tarpon fishing to the effect of: the only thing that convinces you that this is a good idea is the fact that you know others have done it before and survived? Something to that effect.
