Thumbs up Auckland or Galway for Flyfishing... Help!

I'm in a personal dilemma sitting here in work. Me and the wife are about to settle down for a while to start the homestead, kids in all. I've been offered a job in Galway, but also have a job offer back in Auckland NZ. With every life decision there is alot to consider and of course there's the fly fishing.

Galway: Loch Corrib, Mask, Inagh, Conn and Cullin not far away, River Moy,
River Clare and the Systems in the Connamarra. With a traditional loch boat throwen in. Wild Browns, mayfly season, salmon and pike...

OR...

Auckland: SWFF in two large harbours for Travelly, Tuna, Snapper from a open platform metal hull boat, Bay of Islands not too far away for big game fishing. The lakes of Rortorua, Taupo, Tongariro and the Rangitiki river 2/3 hours away...

HELP? Where would you guys go? The wife doesn't mind...

J.

Glad the droiveway layin business is booming mate.

From the perspective of a parent, its the environment for the children you really have to consider too..Educational facilities and the likes.

Glad to see you're on the breeding programme mate...thats the end of the late night porn..

Nah, **** em, the fishings number one really...

Not knowing anything about Auckland, Australia, i cant comment.

Galway...nice pace of life, good fishing, Guiness..generally **** weather.

How does six months in each sound?

Another thing that WILL be a problem, is grandparents wanting to see the kids.

If the job were Nelson or Malborough-based then I wouldn't hesitate.

But Auckland is a big sprawling city and the West Coast of Ireland is as purty as it gets.

The Irish have a great economy now and the education system is really working as well of having the benefits of joining the EU/Euro from a disadvantaged position.

NZ/Ireland.... Hell I'd do Ireland for a few years and then move back if you need - would the kids get dual citizenship?
