i want too know whats the best floating 8# wf line to buy???????

I have always used cortland 444 never had a problem with it.

Aye they dont get much better than that. I use same for the sea troots and grilse.

yea i got one of those last year, i had the 444SL it still has good use left on it as i fish mostly everyday in the summer. its just that you have to clean it regugarly to give it its cast.

i had one other problem about the loop i put on it it kept cutting into the line on me ?

Cortland 444 / Rio gold for me. Cortland on price though

when i went to buy the line last year i was tempted to get a snowbee at 1st put i only had 35pound so i went for the cortland.

one thing is whats the differance in the tapers
my brother got a cortland 444 xp taper
i have an SL

I just use a double nail knot to give me a loop and just give it a dab of super glue so far it has never cut into the line.

whats the Rio like ?

Greys Platinum ( heron grey colour ).... without a doubt the best floater i've used.

I use 15lb mono to make the nail knot with then loop my leader to it.
