Been using Multi pc rods since I first bought a shakespear traveller, I have one 3pc rod all my others are 4pc or my traveller no problems with any of them keep the ferrules waxed easker1

David Norwich used to do a range of rods called the "Stowaway" they were the first 4 piece rods I ever cast and they were just as good as 2 piece rods ,I also loved the 4 piece portability - Before this I always bought 2 piece rods.

If 2 piece rods are your preference then go right ahead as their is little or no difference on action ( IMHO)

I'm all for it. Everybody wants 4 piece these days which means two piece are hard to sell and consequently cheap. I've bought a few quality two piece for little money over the last year and will continue to do so

I think thats the route i'll go, it would be nice to have the option thou!! Still i do think its a fashion selling point!

'Cos most of the rods we bought up to 2009 were two or three piece. They had to stimulate the market somehow; so now 4 piece are the way to go. Once sales of 4 piece start to slow.....just watch. Back to two piece or interchangeable butt sections and different actioned tips

Mm, well ah prefer to leave my sports car at home ( for l've quite a lot of tackle ), and take the range rover

some of the best, most revered, 4 and 5 piece or more! trout rods were built late nineties early 2000's Salmon rods have always been 3 piece upwards!
I own quite a few of the trout rods from that era, and too many of the salmon ones!
