Default Trout fisherman subscription

Hi all I subscribed to tf last month with a free gift of a airflo vest however although I got the mag yesterday still no vest when I contacted them they told me they had no stock and were waiting for a delivery
Was just wondering if any one else was in the same situation or is it just me
Cheers Dave

I'm still waiting for my mid layer fleece they promised me last year... and the free gift before that.. and the one before that etc etc. Don't believe the hype. I don't bother with their false promises any more. Load of advertising, advertising very poor quality equipment etc etc......ahhhhhh that feels better

I remember a few folk on here complaining about no gift or out of stock on the current offer. But 1 thing came across.they did not give out the Current gift to members who were ''Just'' renewing their subscription.
Forget the Gift.I'm still waiting for this months Magazine.

If you chased it up and they still never gave you the gifts which were promised that is illegal. If you never chased it up how are they meant to know that they haven't delivered.

Try a PM to Jeff (thewormturns) on here he has sorted problems that some members have had in the past.

Other than that keep at them.

The problem may lie with the company supplying the freebies as with tackle shops and the overall general market these days. They order on demand and dont like to stock pile the items as its money just lying there.

I did many times.......

They should know they had to send it out as they have my name and address when ordered... surely that should suffice Quite simple really... surely a persons details should go directly on a mailing list. Normal business acumen I would say... unless a company is offering false promises like so many fishing mail order companies do including TF, T&S magazine etc.

While I'm at it.... why do these particular magazines pretend to offer so much to the fly angler when in reality they are at the mercy of the big companies... who fill their pages with advertising. When in reality most of the gear these big companies... including Hardy's etc.... are trying to sell is geared (pardon the pun) to the newcomer offering the next super dooper wonder stick or the next state of the art wonder fly line or whatever. When in reality the stuff is cheap cr*p straight out of a factory in China and falls to pieces or breaks in a few months. I could go on...............
