Default Recording your catch.

The last time I went fishing at my folks in Scotland Sunkist Bob asked me to take a video of the fishing. I always fish with Brock, my spaniel, and my other half doesn't do fly chucking or to watch or even help
Since I can't hold a mobile phone and cast or play a fish at the same time and Brock gives camera shake with his tail wagging how can I make a small film using a mobile using no hands.
Is there a device like a headtorch I can use?

Stuart

Some petrol stations were selling a simple mobile holder recently.
It was a steel disk that sticks to the back of the phone and a strong magnet in a rubber disc that fits to the dash board.
I'm sure you could knock something similar up and just keep the magnet under your coat or hat.

You could also get some friends......

Only one problem for the magnet idea... If you have an iPhone or such... The magnet can mess up the internal hard drive... It shouldn't but it could... I risked it with my old iPod nano in the car and it was fine tho...

you can get cameras that attach to your head or anywhere else - bikers put them on their helmets to record themselves.

Or you could just try putting the phone in a breast pocket? camera sticking out obviously! I might be worried about dropping it it though depending how much you move around.

Or combine both ideas ...gaffa tape your phone to your head

I'll have a look at a biker site, hopefully I won't have to wear a helmet while fishing
Guess I'll go on facebook as well for some new friends Trouble is no one wants a 10 hour car journey for some of the best fishing I know. Strange.

First I would not risk your phone been there done that!
Its not worth it.

I have a Pentax w60, water proof camera. It does great video and photos.
Compact and easy to use.
Its getting old now, but there are some great new models on the market.
I have just converted a pocket on my wading vest to hold and keep it safe.
Also allowing to film from the wading vest. You could try a cheep chest pack!
But still have it attached to a lanyard.
You might have to change your casting a little ( its surprising just how much you move) also your language!!!!!!

If your location is where you fish, you do have some very nice water and I travel there quite a lot.
Tight Lines.

You can get armband holders for your phone, you just need to adapt it to fit round your head.

Were you look you film.

It's the same site that does one for your shoe for looking up dresses.
I'm not allowed on it since the court case.

Never even thought of that. I've had one on my iPhone for months. No problems so far but yes it could wipe the lot.
