Question Beginners Book

Hi guys,
I am new to this wonderful sport and am looking for a good book which will help cover all the basics of stillwater trout fishing including setup, technique and most importantly flies, how to choose them, the different types etc. Thanks in advance

Johnnie

Would also recommend - Brian Clarke and John Goddards - The Trout and the Fly, gettiing a bit dated now but very good.

Another vote from me for Peter Lapsley's book as recommended by Jim, although some of the fly patterns are dating just a little now.

Reason for recommending it over "The pursuit of stillwater trout" is that Lapsley covers more facets of the sport.
