Default grilse wading net

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a sea trout - grilse sized net which can be folded and comes with some sort of sling or clip so I can wear it on my back while wading.

I'd be gtaeful for suggestions.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt if you have a bid enough budget i would highly recomend this;
McLean catch release speciman weigh nets SAVE 5 It is expensive but i have one and it is great for easily netting and releasing fish and the scales are very accurate and as good as any hand held scales
Regards,
Mike

One of the things that I've learned over the years is that you can get a small fish into a big net.
The opposite does not apply.

Sharpe's 24'' Gye all the way.

Also have a look at Fastnet, as I had a custom one made and it's great

Fastnet Landing Nets - Scottish Manufacturer of Trout and Salmon Landing Nets

Again not cheap, but will make you exactly what you want.

Thansk for that.

These gye nets - they look exactly like whast I want. I assume you can use them with one hand? Ie. unclip from your back, and extend, while still holding the rod with the other?

Or do you need an extra person?

Because they look as if they need to have the handle extended, which looks like it requires 2 hands?

Or am I being an idiot?
