How not to blank Denzil. Think i have stillwaters sussed for the most part but river fishing is a totally differant way of fishing. I have had a fairly good start with fly tying as i seem to catch fish on my own flies. But its the size 18 or 20's im struggling with. What type of feathers for hackles on such small flies.
?

I think nobody has cracked that coconut yet

Maybe best to posting in the fly tying section ? OR have the admin move this there ?

Anyway you may need a midge saddle, i think. I don't tie my own flies lower than 16, its just way to small for my poor eyes.

I would speak to some of the trade members on here. They are very nice guy and if you speak to them they should be able to sort you out with what you need.

Also other members should be able to help you out with picking/showing the stuff you need.

Welcome, this will lead to a multitude of different answers as people will have different preference.

For me, Cortland floaters, fairplay for the double taper, 444 for the wait forward.
