Advice #7 line for #8 rod

I broke the top section on my GRXi 9ft 6" #6/7. Having paid £40.00 Greys were unable to supply a new top section to fit the middle, they have instead sent me a brand new #7/8. My question is will my #7 line be able to load the #7/8 rod or will all my line be too light weight

I was given a shakey odyssey 7/8 and I use my 7 lines on it without any problem.

May have to let a bit more out to get it loaded but shouldnt be too much of a bother.
