Default Info needed about Esthwaite water???? Help please!

Hi all,

I'd really like to know everuthing that there is about Esthwaite water. I've had a look at their website but would also like to know what you all thought of the venue?

I'm looking at heading there in Early July. Will the fishing be hard? What are the likely tactics?

I'm also really interested in the rumours that i've heard about it becoming a brown trout water? Does anyone have any information about this?

Thanks for your help.

It is lovely, have a ride up for a visit before you fish it, take your wife / girlfriend / boyfriend and stay in Hawkshead.

Wonderful place any time of year.

I fished there last year - best done imho from the boats that you can hire. Pleanty of fish to be had, particularly around some of the reed beds around the perimeter of the lake. Cats Whiskers seemed to work well.

Finally - it comes with a background of great scenery!

Enjoy....

Chickenfish
Not sure what your wife will say about you taking your boyfriend to Hawkeshead

Best not tell her say your taking a girlfriend

She won't believe you either way.

WHAT!!!! There are no motors????!!!! Do they hire them at all?

Thanks for all the advice, I too am not sure about taking the boyfriend, not quite ready for the broke back mountain experiance.....not yet anyway!

There would be quite a few of us going and the motor thing could be a bit of a problem.

One of those venues might change GG....not the date though!

Thanks Terry. Do you know if they have more than 10 motors? Sorry for the questions!
