Wondered if any of one on the forum has read Single Handed Spey-Casting book by Simon Gawesworth.

Is it worth purchasing?

Maybe after youv'e watched a few(or many) u-tube videos it might be worth your time.There's plenty on how to roll cast which is the basis for Spey casting.get that right and you'll have a good footing for the problems you are looking to solve.I would go as far as to say roll casting might be all you need to learn.

Hi Spey Uk, I have a copy, I think its a very good book but as ever these things are subjective.

I've always struggled with the concept of buying a book about something which is so mechanical, but a whole book about 'single-handed spey casting'?
Seriously, you can read that?

I'd think anyone who can spey cast decently, would be able to spey cast with one hand with a double taper line and rod of reasonable length...

Not taking anything away from the author - he must be very talented if folk can read a book about something so dry, and come away saying they enjoyed it.
