Default How's Your Weather & What are You Catching?

Up to my knees in snow with a solid under layer of ice for good measure here But outdoorsy types in Alaska keep a stiff upper lip, however the stiffness is caused by a thick layer of ice beneath the nose; caused by breathing

If you are out there dragging those fish to hand how bout a few pictures for a fellow who is waiting this out until the spring?

Thanks,

Ard

Forecast 40mph gusts here tomorrow with a temp of 8C so I'll be out enjoying the wild mild weather trying to net a grayling or two. They might well be on form as the river will be settling nicely after a short rise in the last 48 hours.

Tight lines to Alaska!

We didn't catch much, but here you go Alaska...about 1pm BST, comparatively warm in England! Or is that BWT?

Well it is the middle of summer here, I have not fished the fresh water since last November! But I have managed to get some Snapper and some Kahawai from the Shore in Auckland Harbour. It is about 24c and sunny today and when I finish work at about 2:00pm I am going fishing!
Hope it warms up for you soon Ard!
All the best.
Mike

OK then Mike, it took my looking at your location to see why its green there. I hope you had a good go at the fish, -15 F or -26C as I write this line. Just another 70 or so days and it's about played out for another year. I've a new 15' 10/11 rod waiting for the king salmon when they show at the end of May.

It's absolutely Baltic here in Fife right now.
0C this morning and I just heard its to be freezing the whole of February.
(It said so in The Sun yesterday so it must be true. )
Just when we thought we'd gotten away with a reasonably mild winter.
