can any 1 explain the advantages of a furled leader when river fishing or the disadvantage and how to fit them to a fly line and recomend a seller thanks

Furled leaders allow better turnover of your fly and you reduce the amount of leader you use, as you add a short tippet to the end of the leader.
They will come with a loop and you can loop to loop them with the end of your flyline.

thanks chris is that loop 2 loop to the braided loop on my fly line do i need a certain breaking strain for a 5# line

Lee, it will be either loop to loop to your braided loop on your fly line, or some fly lines now come with welded loops. But yes, if you have a braided loop then connect it straight to that.

I enjoyed casting with a furled leader. I'm talking small stream, 6 foot rod type situation. I found it to be very supple (they have no memory at all) and it turned over like a dream. Another advantage is that a single furled leader could probably last an entire season if you look after it. On the downside I noticed the furled leader emitted a bit of spray. In the end though, I couldn't detect a discernible advantage over, say, tapered monofilament leaders. I've gone back to using regular monofilament leaders just because it's what I know and also because I sometimes like to use longer leaders, and I find monofilament better for this.

It's all a matter of personal preference and I suggest you try them and see how they go.
