Thinking of taking a look at Ellerdine this week any tip's or advice would be greatfull many thanks Brett

Ellerdine is my local water. I have a season ticket there.It has just been taken over again by the original owner and is starting to shape up quite nicley.All of the lakes are fishing well at the moment.The fly of the moment is the Yellow Dancer! There are some really cracking fish in there, so a minimum B/S of 8lbs. is reccomended.The coffee is freely available and the bacon sarnies are well reccomended. Floating line workes best there,and Buzzers,diawl back,cats whiskers and bloodworms are all excelent fish catchers at the lakes. I hope you enjoy your day.

Hi, There are some very good fish in Ellerdine Lakes at the moment. Ed and Jane stocked an additional 400 fish which seems to have moved most fish onto feed.

Catches of 30 are not unknown at the time. I fished for three and half hours on Friday gone and had four. Fish to 5lb are nice but there bigger fish for the taking??

Floater works well but don't rule out intermediates and slow sinkers. I took one fish on a Mirage Cormorant, on a floater from Marsh Lake. Changed to Crannymoor Lake, fishing with a Sixth Sense Mid Glass and Flash Stragglers and had three in three casts.

Minkies seem to be working well, as do Leeches in White and Orange. Ian Barr has just fished there, doing a Trout Fisherman feature taking 36 fish??

Fished yesterday had 4. Nice place two lake's were froze but overall a good day. Started slow and spent most of my time getting the ice out of the rod ring's. Temp was -4.5 but would defo recomend a visit and i will defo be going again. They get a from me.

I see the Ellerdine heat of Iain Barr's Fly Fishing - Airflo World Bank Masters Individual Competition 2012 is on 03 March??

Would love too but £50 is a bit much for me and never fished a comp before only been fishing for 6mts would like to fish a bank comp but wouldnt know where to start.

I'll have to find out the total costs from Ed??
