Default Hall of Fame Tackle

I recently wrote about the Sage SP in our ezine as a hall of famer. I still think it is a great rod and fish with SPLCA version today.

I have just retired my Simms G3 jacket after 8 years of service as the zip gave out, which I think is also a contender and was going to write something about the Leeda Rimfly and was wondering what piece of fishing tackle would you nominate for the Hall of Fame?

Good shout on the XP Trout hunter, a fine rod too. Had a cup of tea from a kelly the other day and it was excellent, if only you remembered the milk VGB!!!

Any others for the Hall?

Pete

I think the Leeda LC has got to be there with the Rimfly.
Also i think the SA Aircel or Cortland 444 Peach must go in there somewhere.
For hooks i would think the Kamasan B175 must go on the list.

Airflo Di7

The above rod I have had a few years now, I occasionally think about upgrading, but really no need other than tartdom as it just does everything I need so well, including having a better handle than some rods costing a lot more.

The Di7 line is a modern classic by anyone's standards.

Did that jacket zip go just after Xmas

No tackle hall of fame from me, I'm too flighty but I would put in "Where bright waters meet" a fishing book for everybody

PS There were plenty of cows in the field, why didn't you go self service

I didn't really think about hooks, great shout.

Brannan, lol, but I bet we have all used Drennan subsurface somewhere along the line.

VGB, I had to get the fire brigade to cut me out of the jacket! Good idea about books too. I guess we could take that all the way back to The Compleat Angler.

JeffR, I haven't cast the 3 zone for a while, a nice rod but there is little doubt the impact sinking lines have had.

ACW, look forward to seeing it!
