Hi - I'm trying to get a reel to go with a 9 weight rod for bones in glovers reef, belize - i depart in a weeks time. I'm an absolute beginner with only a coupke of trout outings under by belt, and don't want to spend more than £100 on the reel having spent a lot recently on my trout kit (which I'm leaving in the UK!)

Would an Orvis Battenkill Mid Arbor be ok for the salt? I can't justify purchasing their hydros reel which has been recommended to me by a couple of retailers, though I know you get what you pay for etc etc.

Indeed if there are any other links or options anyone here knows of, i'd really appreciate them. I'll also happily snap up any fly selections or lines anyone knows of!
