Default 3wt line

hi folks,
i had a thread up recently asking for suggestions of a 3 wt reel, well today i received my marksman 2/3wt and shes a little beauty, heard there was some problems with the bearings but only in the heavier weights so decided to go with that. However i now need a line to put on it, so recommending time again, i was looking at the snowbee xs delicate presentation wf3, its dark olive in colour, was wondering if anyone had used this line or if they could point me in the direction of a good river and stream line, all info greatly appreciated.

Pearse

I've used the Masterline river profile WF3 last year (£19.99 from Gary Evans) its been a good line, casts comfortably and accurately at a decent length if needed, olive colour - its caught plenty of fish!

I've just bought a Dry Fly Expert WF3 from RichardW (through an auction on this forum) - it looks and feels like a good line, I'm hoping to give it a good test this weekend

Whatever line you choose Pearse, get a DT, a #3, or even a #4 dependant on rod and situations you intend to fish, chop it in half, stick one half away for a rainy day and load the other half, so essentially two lines for the price of one.

Job done.

The Pirate.

Im going to recommend a Pitsford Pirate line, not only because the lines are great quality and excellent value for money but because the Pirate himself is great to deal with. See above, he could have jumped in and tried to sell you one of his lines but instead hes given you some great advise.

I like the Rio Light Touch double taper for my light rods (it is a beauty to cast and turn over even for a **** caster like myself).

If I was filling up my reel now though Pirate would probably be the choice, unbeatable price and service. Have a few of his lines in higher weights and they are cracking.
