hard to say but pike is a good culprit or otters or mink

That is one clean cut, and not a wound you would expect to find from the jaws of a predatory fish or a mammal. If it hasn't been hit by an outboard prop, I'd guess that a bird's razor sharp bill has cut it open, and goodness knows what else has had a go at it after that.

I'll go for cormorant.
