Smile Hi from a newbie

Hi to all,

I'm new to the forum and to fly fishing. Having just bought some tackle, I am hoping to book some casting instruction soon.

Living in Norfolk, and enjoying river fishing, I'm keen to explore some of the local rivers, particularly as being a novice, it will give me a chance to learn the ropes. Although I appreciate the county might not be the best area for a beginner to fish for trout any suggestions and advice would be welcomed.

My wife and I are keen caravaners and travel to most areas of the country. I can see a theme developing this year in terms of the areas I suggest to visit so if anyone has any recommendations as to good places for a novice fisherman to try his luck, particularly if on or close to a caravan site it would be much appreciated.

Best wishes for 2012

Hi there and welcome,

I never been to this place myself but my parents stayed here last year. I think you'll find it caters for all your caravan & fishing needs

Hi & welcome to the mad house. You'll get plenty of good advice & i'm sure there will be someone local to you, that you may be able to meet up & fish.
If you ever travel as far as Scotland give me a shout & i'll recommend a few places to visit.
