Default Eden catchment mayfly project in local news

Just a very short snippet scanned from a local Eden newspaper on the WTT/Eden Rivers Trust project that gets kids out of the classroom and engaged with their local rivers:

EdenMICnews.pdf

We've done this now in many schools in Sheffield, Staffordshire, Eden catchment and the Monnow catchment.

Training for people to do this has also been given for groups of schoolteachers and local community group members in Huddersfield, Milton Keynes and Basingstoke.

All the info, instructions and lesson activity ideas that you need to do this in your local school are on my Mayfly in the Classroom website here:
www.mayflyintheclassroom.org - Home

It costs buttons to run and the kids really get into it (even those who previously had little to no idea what a river actually was beforehand)

Here is a vid that Fish On did FOC on Mayfly in the Classroom:

I just noticed that the Monnow events that the MFA ran following a short WTT training event gets a mention in Flyfishing and Flytying this month (in the Monnow restoration project piece).

Ta for the mention Cranefly/Tigermoth/Pervy Uncle P/Quicksilver and everyone else in the Herefordshire Balkans.
