I've got an S3, I don't rate it much, the varnish is bubbling in places and the cork handle has cracked and come away at the top, I only used it for one season as a beginner. In hindsight I probably should have sent it back because it isn't fit for purpose, I don't buy airflo gear anymore (except sinking lines). On the plus side it does have quite a forgiving action if you're a beginner.

would you say the airflow delta is a better chioce

I have the airflo delta classic 9'6 #6-7 its not a bad rod but not a great rod either.

Have a look at the Aleka A3 rods just got one myself and they seem pretty good for the money.

There on sale for an intruductory price just now.

Wychwood truefly are worth a look.

Yes they are very well made rods and a joy to use.

Shakespeare Trion XT or Greys GS both good rods, do not know much about the rods you mention
