Default Website for fly names

Hi guys is there anywhere i can get the names of most common flies with pictures? I keep getting recomended a certain name for a certain stretch but dont know if i already have one.

If you have an iPhone download the orvis App, it's essentially a catalogue but is great for reference with clear photos.

i'd say just to google the name of the fly and look at images...that is probably the fastest way to find out what you looking for.

All other suggestions are good too though

I found “cap't fishy's” web site, Outing Reports , invaluable to me in the early days.

The early reports on their outings are fantastic.
when he is describing how they are catching and what fly was used, if you click on the fly a pic of it pops up.

Using the examples along with how they were being used can be a real help to the beginner, and anyone for that matter.

His more recent outing don’t have that function, although the photography is just as great.
