hi guys, until last year year i was a dyed in the wool sea angler until i was introduced to the delights of flyfishing.
i have been to a couple of fisheries and have justed joined a syndicate lake.i have also been building up my tackle collection, and yes i have brought gear that i will probably never use.
the forum has proved very usefull but unless i"m missing something(undoubtedly)there seems to be a lack of fishing reports compared the sea forums.reports stating the whys and wherefors would prove very useful to a newbie who is attempting to grasp the fundamentals.i look forward to racking all your brains for my many queries in the future.
tight lines
paul.

Hi Paul and welcome, we have a number of fishing report sections on here, Clyde, Eden, Usk, Wandle, Dove, Wye, to name a few.
What's your local fishing, river or still water?

Hi, welcome to the forum. You will find a lot of information here, particularly if you spend some time using the search facility.

The reason there is a scarcity of reports is that we are in a 'Close season' for Trout on all rivers and many Still waters.

im located in north kent and am concentrating on stillwaters at the moment until i become more confident.however the company i work for does own a stretch of the river test which i am eligable to fish, but thats for a later date !.
if someone could point me in the right direction,i would like to read catch reports that informed me of location, species caught, tackle and fly used.
thanks.

Hi. Think that you will find it difficult to find regular reports of waters in Kent. I come from West Kent and struggle to find much on waters other than Bewl. Where do you fish?

Cheers,
Parrot

It's all a big secret Paul. I'm sure you're well aware that many sea anglers will not discuss their marks.
