Default Warwickshire Fly Fishers info

Enquiry on behalf of a mate from that area who's maybe interested in joining. Particularly interested in their stretch of the river Swift. Anyone know anything about it, good/bad/worthwhile? I grew up in that area too and actually used to fish that bit of the Swift, or near there anyway, as a kid, for chub. How are the stocked brownies faring and is the water clarity any better as from recollection its a clay river bed and often coloured. What's the fly hatch like and what sort of patterns tend to be effective? Looking at the website the fees seem a little on the high side to me, although I suppose if you fish the lakes regularly and take a few its not such bad value.

Any info much appreciated, thanks.

I was eagerly awaiting some news on this little river which is not a million miles away from where I live - I hope we get some info from someone in the know.

The river's catch returns for the last 2 years suggest an average return of 1 fish per visit. Seems a busy little stream too, with 149 visits in a 7 month season last year.

Likewise. As I say, I know it from my yoof and its not what you'd call a natural trout river, or at least it never used to be, but I note on their website they've done some work on it as well as stocking it. I did know a club a member from work but he's moved on and I haven't got his new contact details to ask.
