Morning All,

Just a quick heads up for the first meeting of the winter programme.

Monday, January 9th: Mick O'Farrell; Wet and dry fly fishing on reservoirs and big waters. Mick is a well known and respected Irish angler and has just written his first book. Guaranteed an excellent evening.

All of the meetings are held at the John Thompson Inn, Ingleby and will start at 7.45pm sharp.

There will be a break at around 9pm for food, refills and a raffle and we aim to finish at 10-10.30pm.

Membership is £20 per season and that covers entry to all of the guest speaker evenings and entry into all of the friendly club fishing competitions that are held throughout the season.

If you don’t wish to become a member then you can attend any meeting for just £3 each on the door.

Cheers,

Afternoon All,

Just a quick heads up for next week's meeting.

Monday, February 6th: Wendy and Ray Gibson

Wendy is well known locally as the best lady fly-tier in the country and she will be demonstrating how to tie patterns like Cormorants, Snatchers and the very popular Shipmans Buzzers.

She will also be tying some of the patterns that are in Mick O’Farrell’s recent book.

And if you have any problems with your own tying she will be only too pleased to help you out.

Husband Ray will also be in attendance with his ‘shop’ where all of the materials that Wendy will be using as well as a full range of tools will be available at reasonable prices.

All of the meetings are held at the John Thompson Inn, Ingleby and will start at 7.45pm sharp.

There will be a break at around 9pm for food, refills and a raffle and we aim to finish at 10-10.30pm.

Evening All,

Just a quick heads up for next week's meeting.

Monday, February, 13th: John Watson. John is a former local headmaster and this will be his second visit to the club. He is a river angler, speciallising on the River Dove and has just written his second book. That is based on Roger Woolley, a man who used to tie flies in his hands. Roger came from Hatton so his talk will be on his life and how he became one of the most acclaimed fly tyers in the country.

All of the meetings are held at the John Thompson Inn, Ingleby and will start at 7.45pm sharp.

There will be a break at around 9pm for food, refills and a raffle and we aim to finish at 10-10.30pm.
