Thinking about taking the old man down the Clyde at some point in the holidays grayling fishing. He's been a keen flyfisher all his days but due to a recent hip operation he's unable to stand for any great lengths of time.
The plan is for me to set him up sitting on a comfy stool with a float & some maggots while I go off and explore with the fly rod. I know on the river you should keep moving either up or down stream but what in the off chance we strike it lucky and find the fish, would it be rude for him to be sat in the same pool for a period of time if other fisherman are about?
Also does anyone know of any decent, quietish places on the clyde we can go for grayling?
Cheers in advance.
